The Must Have Scandinavian Design Sideboard by Arne Vodder
Born in 1926, Arne Vodder was originally an apprentice of Finn Juhl, who is one of the four great Danish design masters, and later became his friend and business partner.
Although Arne Vodder's design may not be as well-known as the designs of Borge Mogensen and Arne Jacobsen, his simple, practical and humble design are definitely a gem in Danish design.
Among all Arne Vodder's designs, the most famous ones would be the AV series sideboard. Drawers are shaped to avoid the need for handles.
Take AV02 Sideboard designed by Arne Vodder in the 1950s as an example, it won the first prize at the Milan Triennale in 1957. Its durability, functionality, and elegant appearance make it a must-have design for Scandinavian modern design lovers.
