Danish Modern Sculptural Ten Table

Image
Dating back to 2009, the Danish brand DK3 was one of the first brands to introduce plank tables to the Scandinavian market. In 2019, on the 10th anniversary of DK3, the founder Jacob Plejdrup and Danish designer Christian Troels together designed the Ten Table. The Danish-made Ten Table, the exertion of exquisite craftsmanship, is made of solid white oak, with highly recognizable outlines and sculptural wood legs that leave a strong and appealing impression on others. In addition to the dining table, the Ten Coffee Table made of solid walnut is also an eye-catching lounging choice for living rooms. - Manks, dedicated to bringing Scandinavian Modern Design to Hong Kong since 1996. CH825, Serene Elegant and Versatile Danish Modern Storage

Image
CH825 originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1959 is a versatile credenza that integrates tranquillity and elegance with practical interior configuration, which makes CH825 be still sought after at auctions many years later. In 2014, on the 100th anniversary of Wegner's birth, the century-old Danish brand Carl Hansen & Son reintroduced CH825 Sideboard for production. The vertical wood grain reflects the elegance of the storage design and the selection of fine materials, while the rolling shutter door, the exertion of exquisite craftsmanship, can be fully opened and seamlessly roll to the back of the cabinet, maximizing the use of internal storage space.  Wegner's sideboard combines shelves and removable trays to provide diversified storage space. These are divided into three parts, two on the outside and four pull-out trays in the middle, while each with two shelves. In addition, the shelf can be removed to meet the different needs of users. - Manks, dedicated to bringing

Tambour Storage Technique Dating Back to the 18th Century

Image
The word "tambour" is derived from French. While it has been widely used in furniture, this handicraft art has existed for centuries. In addition to the original use of antique desks dating back to the 18th century, the modern tambour rolling door technology is most often used in storage design - bedside tables, sideboards, cabinets, etc. The reason why it is called a seamless door is that, visually, each door is like a solid piece of solid wood. When the cabinet is opened, every side of it can miraculously ‘disappear’. In fact, the structure of the tambour roller shutter door is not complicated (the principle is similar to that of an airport luggage conveyor belt), but only accurate design can prevent the roller shutter door from being jammed when sliding, so from the shape and size of the slat, the cutting thickness, and the width and shape of the tongue and the shape of the track groove, as well as the use of geometry, require the exquisite skill and experience of the craf

Visit Borge Mogensen's Home to Explore His Design

Image
The home was created by Mogensen in cooperation with architects Arne Karlsen and Erling Zeuthen Nilsen and is located on Solsevej in Gentofte. However, there is a rumour that Mogensen handled the majority of the architecture and design himself. The neighbourhood is picturesque and lush, earning it the reputation of "architects' marsh." It was a trendy neighbourhood in the 1960s, with well-known architects practically living side by side. Jrn Utzon, Eva and Nils Koppel, Mogens Lassen, Karen and Ebbe Clemmensen, and others. It's also the home of Hans J. Wegner, who resided about a hundred meters away from Mogensen.
