SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN HOME DECOR IN HONG KONG

Biblioteket Carpet by Emma Olbers is designed for the public library in Stockholms newly renovated National Museum.


'Biblioteket', means 'library' in Swedish, which is a hand-knotted carpet with a design that represents a mixture of Emma’s first sketches of the Old Library.


It is made in a finely hand-knotted Tibetan knot with 50% wool and a 50% Tencel mix, which is an environmentally-friendly design as the Tencel is sourced from raw material wood stems from fast-growing forests that are not suitable for agriculture. Also, the water consumption for Tencel is 10 – 20 times lower than with cotton.


And now, this collector's art piece from Asplund has newly arrived at Manks, and you can bring it home as home decor.
