Wood, without any doubt, is a common raw material in Scandinavian Design as Europe is with the highest forest coverage in the world, especially when Sweden, Finland, and Norway share the top forest coverage in Scandinavia. Besides that, the warm feeling brought by the soft wood design also helps Nordic people to drive away the blizzard long winter.

Representing Finland, 4620 Table Lamp by the Finnish brand Secto Design is made with local birch wood. All Secto Design lightings are hand-crafted by highly skilled craftsmen with the knotless form-pressed birch wood. The lamps have obtained PEFC (Forest Certification System) certification, which is sustainable and environmentally friendly.
