Happy Birthday! Mid Century Modern Design Icon Børge Mogensen
Børge Mogensen is known as "the people's designer" - not only because of his engaging down-to-earth personality but also because of his quality furniture with a calm aesthetic, quality materials, sturdy construction and within easy reach.
In 1962, Børge Mogensen designed the 'Master's Ultimate Sofa' for his home on which he could lie flat, with a strong emphasis on the human experience. This classic design has been adopted by Danish embassies around the world and is therefore also known as the 'Ambassador's Sofa'.
This fully hand-assembled 2213 sofa is made from the finest European oak with the finest European bull leather. The hard oak frame preserves the original wood and ensures that the sofa remains solid over time, making it a classic that will last for years to come.
The Spanish Chair Special Edition
The Spanish Chair has always been a testament to Fredericia's use of genuine materials and craftsmanship. The original oak from Denmark has been carved (Quarter-Sawn) and combined with high-quality saddle leather and brass sourced from Sweden. The Spanish Chair in dark red saddle leather is a definite collector's item.
1960s Børge Mogensen Oresund Oak Bookcase with Expandable Desk
This antique bookcase/antique desk from the 1960s by Mogensen is a must-have for lovers of Scandinavian mid-century furniture. The versatile bookcase can be turned into a desk.
Designed in 1956, the BM67 is an expression of Mogensen's belief that the most basic rustic designs in wood and brass provide the basis for the inner beauty of the material, where the minimalist ordinariness can be elevated to exceptional elegance.
